Singlemode patchcord or jumper leads can be terminated with FC, SC, LC and ST.  AFW patch cords have excellent environmental stability, high return loss and low insertion loss. Various cable types available including 250um bare fiber (unjacketed), 900micon buffered fiber and 3mm cable. Yellow color PVC material with Kevlar strength members inside will be used for 3mm cables. 900mciron cables can be supplied with various colors such as yellow, green, red, black or blue. Since Corning SMF28e fiber used to build patchcords operating wavelength ranging from 980nm ~ 1550nm. When ordering patch cords please specify wavelength and required fiber type. We can also terminate connectors to customer supplied fibers. We are happy to discuss if there is any requirement.

Insertion loss (IL): <0.4dB
Return loss (RL): >50dB for UPC ferrule, >60dB for APC ferrule

AFW can supply mating adaptors (or through adaptors, bulkhead) to interconnect two patchcords. Usually we stock square flange, panel mount and D-type adaptors for wide range of applications. FC/UPC female to FC/APC male adaptors also available to minimise the requirement of a male to female patchcord. These adaptors give flexibility to have APC output from a UPC ferrule end face. AFW also can supply FC type bare fiber adaptors for quick connection.
