The polarization maintaining coupler is a micro optic filter type device provides optical signal splitting while preserving polarization with high ER.  Polarization Maintaining Coupler is available in wide range of coupling ratio from 1% to 50%, and available in 1x2 and 2x2 types.  PM couplers are widely used in fiber optic communication systems, Raman Amplifiers and other fiber instruments applications.
